IEEE NCS Hands-on Workshop on AI and Machine Learning Programming in Python 101

IEEE Northern Canada Section aims to promote STEM education and develops communities. Moreover, IEEE NCS always looks to offer IEEE members more. This 2-day hands-on workshop provides opportunites for people who are interested in obtaining basic enough knowledge and skill in Python programming to create and train computers to recognize objects from images as well as generate text. IEEE NCS also welcome and encourage IEEE members to register for their family members (as participant) who are studying at high school right now or are going to start high school or have just completed high school this year. Dates: – 9 AM to 3 PM on Thursday, July 25, 2024 and Friday, July 26, 2024 Place: – computer lab Tegler-T103, Concordia University of Edmonton – https://concordia.ab.ca/about/campus-map/ – NOTE: in-person only Eligibility for registering as a participant: – IEEE Member at any grade – IEEE member’s family member who – is studying at high school right now or – is going to start high school or – just completed high school this year Capacity: – Up to 20 participants Registration Fee: – 20 CAD per participant – NOTE: IEEE members need to register for themselves and/or their eligible family members NOTE: Participants are also welcome to bring your own laptop for the event.
