
CCECE 2025 – Industry Summit

The IEEE Vancouver Section along with the organizers of the Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE) 2025 invite you to attend this dynamic Industry Summit taking place alongside the academic proceedings of CCECE 2025. The core of the Industry Summit will be held from May 27 to 29, 2025 along with the conference at the Vancouver UBC Campus. These will be precede by a day of workshops and tutorials on Monday May 26 free of charge for those registered with the full Industry Summit registration. Attendees can expect to learn about the latest developments and technology applications in a variety of technological domains including AI, Cybersecurity, Humanitarian initiatives, Wildfire management, Transportation Infrastructure, and Electric Vehicle Charging infrastructure, in addition to sessions centering around entrepreneurship and education. Workshops & Tutorials – Monday, May 26 Kick off the week with hands-on workshops and tutorials focused on building core professional skills. This year’s sessions will cover: – Standards – understanding the frameworks that guide engineering excellence – Design Creativity – fostering innovative thinking in technical design – Technical Writing – communicating complex ideas with clarity and precision – Orbit Share – enhancing collaboration and sharing of research and ideas These workshops are designed to equip participants with essential tools to lead confidently in both academic and industry environments. Day 1 – Tuesday, May 27: Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity & Entrepreneurship This stream explores how artificial intelligence is transforming industries and how cybersecurity is critical in safeguarding our increasingly digital world. Morning sessions will feature renowned speakers, keynote talks, and expert panels discussing intelligent systems, ethical considerations, and modern defense strategies. These sessions will provide valuable insights into the evolving roles of AI and cybersecurity across sectors, highlighting real-world applications and future challenges. In the afternoon, the spotlight shifts to entrepreneurship, showcasing how startups and innovators are solving real-world problems and driving economic growth. Day 2 – Wednesday, May 28: Environmental Resilience, Multi-sensor navigation, History & Lifelong Learning This day focuses on how engineering and data science are helping to address natural disasters, particularly wildfires. Sessions will cover predictive modelling, early warning systems, and emergency response technologies. The afternoon invites reflection on the legacy of electrical and computer engineering, and the critical role of continuing education in keeping pace with today’s fast-changing technological landscape. A parallel track offers in-depth analysis into multi-sensor navigation. Day 3 – Thursday, May 29: Sustainable Mobility & Smart Infrastructure Conclude the conference with a deep dive into the future of sustainable transportation. Sessions will highlight developments in EV charging infrastructure, clean energy mobility, and policy innovation. In the afternoon, the focus turns to wireless communications and smart infrastructure, examining how connected systems are transforming urban planning, traffic flow, and city development for the future. CCECE 2025 Conference integration The Industry Summit attendees will be able to experience memorable plenary sessions shared with the academic conference. Exhibits and student engineering design teams will be on display in the conference hub in the Fred Kaiser building, where food will be provided in morning and afternoon breaks along with lunch.
