Getting comfortable driving Test and Measurement equipment

August 7 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm UTC

Abstract : Modern oscilloscopes offer features like deep memory for long acquisitions, HD mode for high-resolution measurements, and FFT analysis for converting time domain data to the frequency domain. Oscilloscopes have limitations in terms of resolution (minimum detectable time interval) and accuracy (closeness to the true value). Factors like the oscilloscope’s bandwidth, sampling rate, and trigger jitter affect measurement precision. In high-speed digital signal applications, de-embedding techniques are used to remove the effects of test fixtures and cables from measurements, providing more accurate results. Bio: Dr. Ernst Flemming is the director of Oscilloscope Product Management at Rohde & Schwarz. He has been pioneering the product development for signal processing applications and automotive radars.
