Third Thursday: Q&A with David Lingenbrink of Google

The KIEEE student branch welcomes you to our “Third Thursday” event series. Each month, we hold an event focused on delivering value to our student members. In September, we enjoyed a night at the Grizzly Grill. This month, we are excited to invite David Lingenbrink for a discussion about his career and life at Google. If you are interested in learning more about industry career paths, this talk is for you. NOTE: The October “Third Thursday” event is taking place on the FOURTH Thursday (Oct 24th) due to reading week. David is currently a software engineer at Google. He has completed a PhD in the school of Operations Research and Information Engineering (ORIE) at Cornell University. We speak about his decision to do a PhD, his subsequent move to Google, and the differences between the two. The focus of the talk is to provide students, particularly undergraduates, with a better idea of their options upon graduation.
