Hello Winnipeg IEEE Members, We are thrilled to invite members of the University of Manitoba (UofM) IEEE Student Group and Winnipeg Young Professionals to join us for this special event. Enjoy a delicious BBQ while mingling with fellow IEEE members and young professionals. Join us for an exciting afternoon of networking and BBQ as we celebrate the achievements of Capstone teams and present the prestigious IEEE awards. This event, hosted by Winnipeg IEEE Young Professionals (YP), will take place at St. Vital Park, picnic site #4. Best of all, it's completely free to attend, but registration is required. Registration Period: 27 May 2024 – 21 July 2024 (UTC-05:00, Central Time) This annual BBQ, is designed to promote the transition of graduating UofM IEEE Student Chapter members into the Winnipeg IEEE Young Professionals group. Highlighting the event is the presentation of the UofM YP Capstone Award, which honors the best Capstone project as judged by a committee of Winnipeg IEEE Young Professional members. This award aims to encourage UofM engineering students to join the IEEE Student Chapter, ensuring a robust and active membership.

This event is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, reconnect with friends, and learn more about IEEE Young Professionals in a relaxed and friendly environment. Whether you're an IEEE member, a young professional, or simply curious about our community, this event is perfect for you. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of The Forks Market, a historic and cultural landmark in Winnipeg, known for its diverse food offerings and unique shops. This meet-up will offer excellent networking opportunities, allowing you to connect with like-minded individuals and expand your professional network. In this joint event hosted by IEEE YP Winnipeg and UMIEEE, recent graduates will be invited to participate in a panel discussion to learn about their industrial experiences and anything else that the audience would like to ask! This will be available both in-person on the University of Manitoba campus, as well as virtually via Zoom- please register to secure your attendance for either mode.
