Knowledge Based Community (KBC) Initiative<\/span><\/h1>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”12px”][\/vc_column][vc_column]Join us on Collabratec!<\/a>[\/vc_column][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”12px”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”471″ img_size=”large”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”12px”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Developed in the first quarter of 2023, the IEEE Canada Members Service Group has united under a single vision, initiative, and mission: to create a thriving Knowledge Based Community (KBC) that will provide comprehensive support to students throughout their career journey. Our goal is to establish a structured and sustainable framework that effectively matches students’ needs with the appropriate resources, ultimately resulting in their success and satisfaction.<\/p>\n

The KBC is committed to assisting students at all levels, whether they are in high school, college, or university. Our primary objective is to connect students with internship opportunities in diverse industries, ensuring that they gain valuable firsthand experience. Additionally, we strive to cultivate enduring partnerships with both industry professionals and academic institutions.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, our team aims to foster relationships between students and industry experts by facilitating introductions and establishing mentorship programs. We also plan to collaborate closely with other IEEE Organizational Units (OUs) and technology professionals who share our dedication to supporting students’ interests.<\/p>\n

Recognizing the significance of diversity and inclusion, we will be implementing a program to specifically support students from underrepresented backgrounds. By providing them with tailored resources, guidance, and mentorship, we aim to level the playing field and promote equal opportunities for all.<\/p>\n

This initiative presents an exciting opportunity for the KBC team to establish a strong foundation and make a lasting impact.
