Collaborations and Partnerships
IEEE SIGHT Montreal has established a collaboration with the Montreal Chapter of Hacking Health, a non-profit organization that fosters innovation in the healthcare sector, and the health track leader of the Cooperathon, the largest open innovation in the world.
What is Cooperathon?
The Cooperathon is a marathon of cooperation imagined and produced by Desjardins that stimulates exchanges between individuals and/or organizations and results in the emergence of innovative solutions with a real social impact, in the health, finance, energy-environment and education areas. Hacking Health, a non-profit organization aiming at catalyzing collaboration between health stakeholders, is proud to be Cooperathon’s historic partner, leading the health track in Montreal and Quebec City.
In 2017, this competition saw the creation of 22 projects in health thanks to the participation of individuals from all backgrounds (patients, healthcare professionals, developers, designers, engineers, researchers, business professionals, etc). Since the beginning of the Cooperathon, nearly half of these projects are still in development! Here are the video summaries of 2016 and 2017 editions that will show you what the Cooperathon is.
Health project leaders are patients, healthcare professionals, researchers, citizens who need you, your knowledge and skills in engineering, mechanics, mobile and web development, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, etc. to solve their issues! Come and help them build the future of healthcare and have a social impact by participating in Cooperathon this year!
